The Community Liaison Unit

In addition to the clinic staff, AHS deploys a Community Liaison Unit (CLU) that raises awareness about the right to healthcare, healthcare services, and disease prevention. The team works with vulnerable communities, especially Asian American immigrants with lower incomes, and refugees. The team empowers patients and leads programs that give the community a voice in their own health. CLU activities include community outreach, education, and organizing, voter outreach and engagement, and translation and interpretation services.
