Global Growers Collective
Located in multiple locations in metropolitan Atlanta, Global Growers Network (GGN) is a network of almost 200 farmers from new American and historically marginalized communities who grow fresh food for their families and community. Together with GGN staff, network growers manage land, harvest about 20,000 pounds of fresh produce annually, establish markets, and share regenerative agricultural practices. This results in more than $100,000 in collective savings annually and numerous health and wealth benefits.
GGN’s Market Programs boost sales through workshops and technical assistance in food safety, packaging, and business skills. Farmers are linked with buyers at local markets and restaurants.
For example, the Rockdale Organic Co-Farm offers land, infrastructure, and affordable leases, helping farmers overcome startup barriers. Currently, eleven farmers run eight businesses, with plans for ten more in the next two years.
GGN’s Apprentice & Leadership Programs provide training in organic farming and food systems. The 2024 launch of a farm apprenticeship and leadership projects in conservation and storytelling highlights GGN’s mission to empower farmers, share culture, and drive local food economy growth.
