City of Newark lead service lines records
Title
City of Newark lead service lines records
Description
From 2017 to 2019, Newark experienced consecutive exceedances of the federal limit for lead in drinking water. Distributing water filters and bottled water were only stopgap measures to addressing the issue: the solution was to replace all of the City’s 23,000 lead service lines (LSLs).
To help facilitate the rapid replacement of lead service lines in Newark was access to the original records that provided precise locations of the City’s LSLs.
