Save the Children staff during a home visit in rural Batesville to deliver food and literacy items

Title

Save the Children staff during a home visit in rural Batesville to deliver food and literacy items

Description

It has been well documented that children who eat a healthy diet are more likely to have better academic performance than those with poor diets. To this end, Save the Children, the 100-year old+ international non-profit organization, collaborates with the Batesville School District in providing food to children and their families, particularly in its most rural, vulnerable areas. Addressing food insecurity is critical to the community school model.
