Transit along Division Avenue, which provides services to downtown Portland, took a huge leap forward in 2022 with the completion of TriMet FX™ – the agency’s Frequent Express service. Its opening fulfilled the need for fast, reliable transportation for community members living in the Jade District and other neighborhoods.
TriMet FX™’s near street level platforms, dedicated lanes with transit signal priorities, and culturally sensitive design of shelters and wayfaring signs are the results of a participatory planning process, multiagency cooperation, political involvement, and innovative contracting and funding processes. Its high ridership underscores the success of the line.
