Title
Celebratory tree planting event at a park, Newport, Rhode Island
Description
In 2018, the North End community celebrated this green space with a parade and tree-planting ceremony. Studies suggest that appropriately designed and maintained green space has the potential to reduce violent crime and gun violence, while making communities safer and keeping residents healthier.
